About HABCORE, Inc.
Boarding Homes
Our Boarding Home Program serves 51 residents located in Red Bank and Asbury Park. The boarding homes serve three meals per day and have 24-hour staff coverage to provide an individual level of support for each resident. The primary goal of HABcore’s homes is to help our residents reach independent living when appropriate. Our boarding homes are located in Red Bank and Asbury Park.
You must be a single adult over the age of 18. We are unable to accept children and/or pets. Each resident is required to pay rent every month, which is based off of your income and fair market rates. Rent includes room/board, 3 meals per day (breakfast/lunch/dinner), utilities, access to laundry facility and 24-hour staff on site. We do not provide nursing care, as each resident must be able to manage their own activities of daily living and medication.
Independence Pathways Program
HABcore’s Independence Pathways Program combines affordable housing with intensive, coordinated services to help individuals and families struggling with chronic physical and mental health issues maintain stable housing and receive appropriate support and employment services.
HABcore’s Independence Pathways Program serves individuals and families with children in apartments scattered throughout Monmouth and Ocean County. Rent is calculated to be approximately 30% of the combined household income. In order to qualify, applicants must have a permanent special need or disabling condition, and be chronically homeless or at risk of homelessness. Specific requirements vary according to funding source and availability. Our apartments are located in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
The Independence Pathways Program has different components:
- Multi-family properties we own in Red Bank, Keansburg, Eatontown, and Beachwood.
- Properties we lease through a HUD-funded program scattered over Monmouth County from the Bayshore area to Spring Lake Heights.
- Properties we lease through a HUD-funded program in Ocean County scattered from Brick to Little Egg Harbor.
- A Rapid Re-Housing program in Ocean County which assists homeless families for 3 months to two years with a design on promoting independence after that time.
This program is designed to house families and individuals. The major requirements include that the head of household must meet HUD’s definition of chronically homeless; this definition includes the presence of a long-term disabling condition (homelessness verification and disability documentation from a licensed physician required). The household is also required by pay rent each month, which is generally 30% of the total household income.
